Institutions with strong clinical services are not automatically ready for sponsored research. Research introduces new documentation, workflows, and quality expectations.
Four foundations
- Infrastructure: storage, equipment, power, and connectivity suited to the protocol
- People: staff trained in Good Clinical Practice and their study roles
- Processes: documented workflows for recruitment, visits, and data capture
- Quality: internal checks and SOPs that catch issues early
Readiness work is most effective when it is co-designed with site teams and builds capability that remains after a single study ends.
